JJ Yeley made both his Busch Series and Nextel Cup Series debut in 2004, running just two races in Cup and 17 in the Busch Series for Joe Gibbs Racing.
In his first full season in the Busch Series, JJ Yeley finished 11th in points and got the go-ahead to drive full time in Nextel Cup for 2006 for Joe Gibbs Racing. Yeley also drove in four Nextel Cup races that year, with a best finish of 25th.
JJ Yeley's holds many distinctions in the world of racing. At the age of 21, he became the youngest driver to ever qualify for the Indy 500, finishing 9th in the race. When Yeley was 16, he became the youngest driver to receive a USAC driver's license. The very next year, he was the youngest driver to be invited to race in the International Midget Contest for Team USA.
He has a record-holding 24 victories in one season in the USAC Series. He's driven Quarter Midgets since age ten and was racing in Midgets at 14. He has set five SCRA records, two of which still stand today, and also holds a USAC Sprint Car championship.
In 2003 JJ Yeley became the second and most recent winner of the Triple Crown- winning the titles in all USAC series- Midget, Sprint, and Silver Crown Series.
