Though Scott Riggs began racing in motocross, he started his NASCAR career at the age of 17 in the Mini-Stock division, moving on to Late Models after just three seasons.
With 60 Late Model victories, Riggs moved up in the world of NASCAR, making his first Craftsman Truck Series start in 1999. In Riggs’ first full season in the Truck Series, he finished fifth in the overall points standings and geared up to move into the Busch Series the following year.
In his first Busch Series season, Riggs posted two wins, ended the season tenth in points, and won Rookie of the Year honors. The following year also saw Riggs win two Busch races and finish sixth in points.
In 2004 Riggs moved into the Cup Series, driving Chevrolets, but in 2006, Riggs moved to the team that he is currently with, the #10 Dodge of Ray Evernham.
