At Nashville Superspeedway, the Busch Series regulars had a good shot at dominating, with the Cup drivers racing at Pocono the following day. Steve Wallace won the pole for this race, and even though there were not many Cup drivers entered, it was Carl Edwards who took the victory, edging out Clint Bowyer.
