A newly banked racetrack led to a challenging race for the Busch drivers, struggling to find a setup they could use on unfamiliar increased banking that Las Vegas had just put down the previous summer. There was a record number of cautions- 12- and the race was red flagged at one point. Jeff Burton won the race after consistently being the fastest car on the track.
